Strawberry Cream Swirl

Making the swirl from my own experience is kinda difficult. I always have had trouble getting my cake to roll without cracking. This time making the strawberry swirl it was an okay experience. Our first cake smelled, HORRIBLE. It smelled like eggs. But thanks to Ms.Davidson she found use a sponge cake that came out perfect. It rolled really well. Our filling was a little plain, but with the strawberries natural sugar it sweetened it and also the sponge cake helped as well. Rolling the cake and filling was kinda difficult it wasn't very tight but the swirl was perfect. Over all it turned out very well.

Cinnamon Rolls

Baking the cinnamon rolls was a fun experience. I can't believe it really isn't that hard to make them from scratch. The only thing you really need is patience. What you need patience wit is the yeast, you need to let it rise for it to actually work/ bake the way it is suppose to. I plan to try and make these at home myself. I also plan to try and make dinner rolls, because they are my FAVORITE. My team had a good time together and really got a lot of the things done. We worked together to make sure everything got done when and how it was suppose to.

Lemon Pie

Making our lemon pie was very challenging. My group had to do things we had never learned before. We had to do tempering, zesting, and much more. I do believe that this cooking lesson was the most difficult. I am glad I went through the experience because it was something that I wanted to learn. During the experience of baking the pie I had a good time with my team. One thing I would have done different would have been to added more sugar or something to make the lemon pie itself more sweet because it was very tart. I would highly recommend this recipe.

Taco Thursday

At home my family makes tacos on a basis. But we usually make them out of the box and not by scratch. I had a good time making these tacos out of scratch. My teams tacos were really good. The tacos were put into both a soft and hard shell. When eating a crunchy shell the tacos were nice and crunchy. And vis versa for the soft. Our meat was not hot, it had a little hint of heat but not much.

Caramel Filled Chocolate Chip Cookies

bAKING DATE: OCTOBER 7TH, 2015 

BAKING THE CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WAS A SUCESS. THE COOKIES WERE MADE PERFECT AND BAKED GOOD. IF I HAD TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT I WOULD BAKE THE COOKIES FOR LESS TIME SO THEY WEREN'T DO HARD WHEN THEY COOLED. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING THIS SITE. 





Midterm: Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Sprinkles

I had a really good time making these cupcakes. My team also did really well working together to make sure everything is how it should be, and made sure things got done on time. Making these cupcakes we felt accomplished in each step. After the cupcakes cooled, we iced and sprinkled the cereal cinnamon toast crunch onto to give it a crunch. Over all the cupcakes turned out perfect. I would highly recommend this recipe.



Halloween Rice Crispy Treats

Making the Rice Crispy Treats were a fun, quick, sweet treat. It was an easy recipe to make. After the treats cooled my team and I decorated and made shapes out of the Rice Crispy treats. I would recommend using this recipe.
